Dr. Dinh Nguyen specializes in cosmetic surgery with a focus in lipo-sculpting. He grew up in Southern California and has lived in the area most of his life. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Santa Cruz where he studied chemistry and physics. Afterwards, he returned to Southern California and became a high school math and science teacher.
He left teaching to pursue a career in medicine, obtaining a medical degree from the University of California at Irvine. He then moved to Boston and did his surgical training at the prestigious, Harvard-affiliate Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. While in Boston, he was a part of the National Institute of Health T32 Physician-Scientist Program at the world-renowned, Harvard-affiliate Brigham & Women's Hospital. He returned to the area and subsequently completed the Beverly Hills Aesthetic Surgery fellowship training.
Dr. Dinh is known by his patients to be a compassionate, technically skilled surgeon with an artistic eye. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Society of Liposuction Surgery, as well as the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. He is well-published, including several articles in Annals of Plastic Surgery, and a textbook chapter In Biomaterials for Treating Skin Loss. .
He is a preeminent authority in the pathophysiology of wound healing and cutaneous regeneration. He is also well-rounded in the field of medicine, having previously worked in the hospital, urgent care, primary care, and clinical research.
